This is the second challenge of the "I SEA You Series" (out of a total of three challenges)
Good Job Recruit! We investigated Agent Orca and found that he has unfortunately left Singapore! However, all hope is not lost! Although he has wiped out most of his Computer's Hard Drive, we have managed to recover a file that he stored online. Investigate the file and report back!
Access the file here:
You will need to find:
The original title of the file (lowercase, no spaces, if any)
Date of File Creation (DDMMYYYY) (GMT+8, SGT)
Orca's Instagram Handle (including the @, lowercase)
The Secret Text on the second last Slide (copy it down as you see it - no spaces)
We were given a link to an interesting , titled "atlantis forever". From the challenge instructions, we have to find FOUR things!!
From the Google Slide, we were NOT able to take a look at the history, so what we did was "Add Shortcut to Drive". Sort of a "hackish" way to take a look at the Google Slide's activity.
Original title: orcaifydiary
Using the same Activity tab, we could see that the file was created on 17 February 2022!!
Date of File Creation: 17022022
Finding this part of the challenge is an interesting one! From the slides, the instagram handle was redacted. We tried looking at the Activity tab but to no avail.
Interestingly enough, we saw a few snapshots dating back to February (highlighted in red)!
We clicked on 17 February (which was the file date creation of the Google Slide) and we managed to get the Instagram Handle!!!
Instagram Handle: mrwhaleywonka
This part of the challenge, we tried our luck with Web Developer Tools. We selected the textbox element which is under the tag of <g>...</g>
Secret Text: iloveplushies
Taking all the information we found, we just pieced them according to the challenge's instructions.
Final Flag: STANDCON22{orcaifydiary_17022022_@mrwhaleywonka_iloveplushies}
Since the challenge wants us to find the original title, we figured that we have to find a way to look at .
From there, we were able to look at the recent changes/activity on the Google Slide. Highlighted in red, we could see that the original title was orcaifydiary
!!
We tried our luck with , a digital archive. We took Google Slide's and searched it in Wayback Machine.
We deleted the <g>
tag and we managed to get the secret text!
